Let’s Talk Tween:

This parent support group brings like-minded parents together to help them through their kids’ transition from Elementary School to Middle School. The discussions will help parents to see that they are not alone with their problems and struggles, while also working together to find solutions. To do this, there will be a different discussion topic each week. These will vary based on the wants and needs of the group. This supportive and confidential setting will create a comfortable community where we work together to better the lives of our children and ourselves.

In this group, I will act as the group facilitator, sharing my knowledge as a mother of four, as well as a Social Worker and Life Coach.

Topics can include: your relationship with your tween, better communication, sibling rivalry, bullying, self-esteem, social media, drugs and alcohol, etc.

Conversations about College:

This parenting support group is for parents of children in college or leaving for college in the Fall. Although, this group is geared towards first-time parents of college Freshmen, it is open to parents of all college students. This group will give you an opportunity to share your thoughts, feelings and concerns in a safe and supportive environment.

I will act as group facilitator sharing my knowledge as a mother of four (two of which are away at college), as well as a Social Worker and Life Coach.

Topics can include: your feelings since your child/children have left, communication with your child/children, how to foster independence in your Freshman, drugs/alcohol, Greek life, etc.
